An open-closed life
Chorus
Your life will open like a door,
and close like a book.
But in between are the rooms and the words.
Verse 1
Oh! A poem or a collage,
Within your life may be!
A living room and bedroom,
There are certain to be!
Live your life for all you're worth!
Leave no door unopened!
Double Chorus
Verse 2
A riddle within a riddle,
That's what life is!
A page of words,
Formed in a line!
One scene following another.
In this grand old play we call life!
Double Chorus
Verse 3
A chapter in a book,
That is what we are.
A character from a story!
Live the way you want to,
But remember my words please!
Live your life as well as you can,
and leave no word or page unread!
Chorus repeat
End lines
Your life will open like a book,
And close like a door,
With all your memories in between.

Outcast
Chorus
I might seem a little different.
I might seem a little weird.
I might seem a little awkward
But don't make me an outcast,
Just because I'm not like you!
Verse 1
I am the lone wolf,
Who hunts and sings alone!
I am the lost dog,
Who faces danger after danger,
Yet never finds his home!
These two are like me,
Alone and Friendless!
Double Chorus
Verse 2
I am the cheetah,
Who runs alone across the savanah.
I am the cat that no one loves!
They both want a friend!
These two are like me,
Solitary and silent!
Repeat Chorus
Verse 3
All these creatures reflect me.
They are outcasts.
Yet, what is an outcast?
An outcast is one of a kind!
So is an outcast to be avoided?
Or simply misunderstood?
I'll let you decide!
Chorus

No laughing please... These are very old and I was very depressed at the time... They don't really fit anymore... although I still kinda like "An open-closed life".
