Alphas are the "top dogs" of the entire pack. They make every rule, decide every rank, organize hunting and patrol parties, make war plans, patrol and hunt themselves, and keep the pack in line with a sturdy law. They are the top of the pack. An Alpha's word is law, and you have to follow it or face the consequences. It is ultimately the busiest job in the pack. They speak to all their other, higher ranking members, and consult and meet with them frequently. They try to stay active with their packs, and sometimes go on patrols or hunts themselves to bond with their members to form trust between them, but that may not happen as often as they like.

Betas are the second in command, and they reinforce everything the alpha does. The Beta can be single, or a pair. This rank is often closest to the Alpha, not only in terms or power and rank, but also in terms of friendship, since they see each other so often. They plan war strategies, ambushes, pack ranks, etc., a long with the Alphas, and are the eyes and ears of the pack, reporting everything they see or hear to the Alpha's, that is something they would need to know.

Medic wolves are no necessarily "third in command", but their word is still a very important one. No only are they very well trained and gifted healers, but they are also the pack's connection to the spiritual world. Medics can, not only treat cuts and bruises, but can also predict or decipher omens and dreams, see with a sixth sense, and notice the smaller things that regular wolves do not see. They are a very praised and treasured member of a pack, and consult with an Alpha almost as much as a Beta would.

The medic apprentice is hand picked by the medic themselves, often discovered through dreams, or even signs. They are given a slightly special treatment, but usually are kind hearted, selected at young ages, up to six months to begin early intensive training, so they do not take advantage of it. Medic apprentices mainly, in their first months of training, identify and collect herbs, and treat minor colds and infections. They are naturally gifted with deciphering dreams, omens, and signs, but are not as good at it as their mentors, starting out so young. They are also a very important part of the pack.

The Warrior Trainer is first in command of training the pack's fighting league. They teach selected wolves, male or female, to join the fighting ranks, and teach them skills to be a good fighter. They discuss war strategies, and potential warriors with the alpha, but not much else.

These are the fighting ranks of the pack. They only interact with the alpha for personal needs, or if the Alpha is giving them a pep talk before they go to war or what not. They are usually the strongest wolves in the pack, other than the alpha and their trainer.

The apprentices are young pups that are taught by the older wolves, usually warriors that are the best of the best, how to fight and hunt when their parents need to tend to their duties once again. Every once in a while, a pup will be selected to study under the Alpha's wing. They usually go on to be being the head warrior, a beta, and sometimes, even the Alpha.

The "patrol unit" patrol around the entire pack area and replenish scent marks and report back to the alpha if they scented a wolf from another territory past their border, or if they spot foreign wolves in the lands. There are three different patrol units. morning, midday, and night. They patrol 24/7 this way. When one grounp comes in, the other goes out.

Regular pack members, this group is made up of Soon-To-Be mothers, mothers, pups too young to be of use to the pack yet, and elders. Sometimes even a few extra warriors linger around her to keep watch over the den site. Either that, or they are middle-aged wolves that have not completely warrior training yet.
i figure the rest of the members in a pack would be self explanatory, such as the pups, soon-to-be moms and mothers, and elders. so that's it for now!
