Dark paws brushed the needle strewn ground as the alpha of the Raishem pack walked through the loners lands, searching for wolves to bring to his pack. Haunting orange eyes pierced the darkness that came right after moonrise. A twig cracked and one dark ear twitched toward it, and recognized the sound off a moose cow, grunting softly to her calf. He licked his lips, a moose would make for good food.
He shook his head, alone he could not take down a moose, a deer yes, but not a moose. Besides, this moose was needed to raise her calf so that they could both become food one day. He kept walking. Several leaps on he found a pile of scat and paused to sniff it. Coyote, not wolf. He lifted his head and continued on, coyotes were of no concern to him. Several more twigs snapped and his ears twisted, now what would be making that kind of noise in hunting times? The cow bawled behind him and he heard her clumsy plodding hooves as she herded her calf away from some danger. He bared his fangs and raised his head and tail.
"Who goes there? Speak now or hold your peace with Whispering Wind, the Alpha of Raishem." He growled out, not bothering to turn.

The night was quiet right now, other than the sounds of a few animals scrambling around, trying to get home, or gathering up some food. And there was also the sound of snapping twigs under clumsy paws. A small, wolf stumbled around in the darkness, mumbling things to himself. Animals sped out of the restless mutts way as he stumbled around like a babbling idiot. The darkness shrouded his appearance, but the aura he gave off was unsettling and eerie. The trees almost seemed to shrink back at the unsettling feeling, but maybe that was just the wind. Either way, it seemed like the mutt wasn't even aware of his surroundings until a scent drifted to him.
It was the smell of a moose, with her calf, apparently. His head tilted slightly in the shadows of the dark forest area, as the smell of a wolf also caught his nose. He shrugged slightly and stumbled forward again, before halting, the sound of the mother and her calf running away, then a voice. He wasn't paying very much attention, so he squinted through his little hiding spot, twigs and sticks still cracking under his clumsy paws.
I'm sorry, could you repeat that?
The strange voice proceeded from the mutts throat. It sounded a little nasaly, and, well almost indescribable. His ears twitched a top of his head, as he thought about what this wolf had just said. With this he stumbled out of his hiding spot, the little amount of moonlight set on his small figure, which now slightly revealed his horrifyingly mangled appearance. He saw this wolf was not at all threatened by the presence of another, with his back turned in the mutt's direction. And, the words this wolf had just said, finally clicking in the mutt's head, he finally stated his name. Ah,the name's Joker. Pleasure to make your acquaintance, Whispering Wind, was it? He chuckled maniacally after saying the wolf's name. What a poor sucker you are! Who named you that?... Although, than again, i shouldn't be talking, I don't have the best name either, am i right? he spoke fast and harshly, not really taking in the size difference between the two of them, and obviously not seeming very threatened by the wolf's previous sentence.
This, was Joker though. Always joking. Taking life one laugh at a time. Which wasn't a safe way to live, he had found out, many times before.
[words] 428 [muse] so, so [tagged] mythos [notes] i figured it'd be more interesting if i used joker than if i used ohan. and sorry the post is so random, i'm still getting used to him.

Windy relaxed as the other wolf appeared. A nomad, a small one at that. He took in the wolfs frightening state and his clear insanity without flinching. He waited for the insane ramble to end, cool calm showing in his bright orange eyes.
"Hello Joker." Windys voice was deep, calm, somewhat commanding, and definitely not afraid.
"I suppose neither of us had parents who thought of our dignity when they named us. If you do not think it too rude of me how did you come into your current condition Sir Joker?" Windy was curious by nature, but he didn’t truly want to intrude on another wolfs life if that wolf didn’t feel like sharing. A cloud moved away from the moon and his fur took on a blue touched glow and reflected green light from the plants around them as well. The previously black fur glowed a beautiful aqua color, setting off his fiery orange eyes.
He knew that wolves often were put off by his strange pelt, so he stepped back into the shadows. He was still green touched, but no longer glowing with the silver blue light on top of his reflective pelt. His eyes still glowed in the moonlight, but he wasn’t going anywhere from here until he was ready to go somewhere. He was stubborn and calm, there was nothing here that was a true danger to him.

Joker listened, but was still somewhat distant to the male's words, as he always was. Sometimes, things went in one ear, and out the other, and other times, he caught a little bit of what someone said, but never the whole thing. "Selective Hearing" some would say. That, or they concluded he was just an asshole who didn't bother to pay much attention to, or respect others. Even so, he got the "gist" of what the male was saying. No, I suppose not, he mumbled in agreement. He never looked directly at Whispering Wind, he just kind of, looked around, every once in a while, tilting only his eyes upward to gaze at the other male standing before him. It was a little creepy, how he did it. Head slightly turned, so half of it was still a little in the shadows. But now his scarred half, his, "normal" half.
And then, what the wolf said next, really caught Joker's attention. He'd said it so formally, but Joker made the statement make sense to him in his head. And his permanent half smirk turned into a devilish smile, sharp yellow teeth revealed themselves to the moonlight. Are you saying... You want to know how i got these scars? His ominous, harsh, little cackle following these words. He jumped up a little, and made a few other awkward movements, making him seem literally retarded. Then he caught the slight fur change in the other wolf, and immediately he got curious. Tell you what, Whispering Wind he said, sharply. You explain to me; just how that fancy fur of yours works, and then I'll explain to you, how i got my scars. he said, taken a few "drunken" steps towards the male, the left side of his face rising, that devilish and slightly repulsive yellow toothed grin spreading across his face again.
Joker did not allow himself to get too close to the male, he knew he had boundaries around other males, especially when they were males, they were usually pumped with testosterone and were aching to pick a fight with any other male to cross their path. Joker wasn't a fool, but he wasn't any genius either. He was smart, but only in how he knew how to play games with people, and he knew how to keep his distance, but that wouldn't stop him from getting into other kinds of trouble with males, which clearly showed through by the scars etched everywhere, permanently marking his many failures. And though he was itching to play mind games, he knew in the back of his mind, he probably would not walk away with his life in a game with this fellow.

"Hehe... you are a smart one Joker. In all honest I can't answer your question however, since I have no clue how my pelt works. As that stands within your bargaining terms I withdraw my question." Windy knew that this wolf was a smart one, he would have made a good alpha if he weren't so crazy. As it was, if he were part of a pack he would be forced into the Omega position, or possibly lower. Windy knew that, and did not extend an invitation to the mad wolf. There was very little threat to him from this creature, so much smaller than him, and mad with life. Windy could however make use of this wolf.
"I'm afraid I must be returning to my pack now. If you ever happen to need food, or a healer, please don't hesitate to find me. Perhaps we could work something out. You might be mad, but I'm sure those ears and eyes of your hear and see things that no other could hope to notice. As it is, farewell Joker." Windy got up and turned around, padding away toward the mountains. His tail flicked behind him, leaving a few strands of hair on a thorny bush.
OOC// Windy has left the building, and I'm sorry this took so long to get up.
