[/size]general rules
i fought the law and the law won, i fought the law and the law won!
1. No spamming
2. No god modding
3. No power playing
4. We don't want perfect wolves! Every wolf has a weakness of some sort, physically, mentally, or in their personality. You can make your wolf beautiful, but if they are beautiful in appearance, they MUST have a personality or mental default. Trust me, there a lot more fun to role-play out when finding a mate if you let that one simple default shine through.
If your wolf has a physical or mental default, that's fine. But if your wolf is not-so-beautiful, we won't count that as a default. There must be at least one default of the three listed. Thanks!
5. Do NOT harass anyone. Not in role-play, c-box, or PM. If you do you will get ONE warning. Do it again, you will be banned, no exceptions.
6. Do not argue with moderators. If you think the decision is unfair, or the statement isn't true, talk to the Main Admin about it.
7. If you leave and don't come on in a month (30 days) without telling us, you will be deleted. Unless you have a reason. (If your computer is broken, try to find a way to tell us).
8. If you join, and don't make your Character Biography within one week, you will be deleted. We don't want a bunch of random accounts sitting around doing nothing.
9. BE ACTIVE!! Active doesn't mean checking in once in a while. It means that you are role-playing actively with other users. If the person your role-playing with is gone for over a week for some reason, then let us know.role-playing rules
it's not easy making a name for yourself, where do you draw the line? i never thought i'd be in this far.
1. You may not post in first person or second person. You have to post in third person
What you shouldn't do:
Ex; I walked towards the lake and took a drink of water
or
I watched him go towards the lake and take a drink of water.
This is what you should do:
She went towards the lake and took a drink of water. Then she headed back to her den and went to sleep.
2. Please keep the role-playing and pictures PG-13. (Yes we allow blood, just don't make it too, too gory... thanks!)
Ex;
The crimson blood splattered the floor. or When he bit down on the rabbits neck it made a sound like a crunch. Blood splattered the ground as he did so.
That is acceptable. Going over the line is:
He tore into the carcass, it's guts oozed out of it's body.
*runs away* I mean... I'd admire your skills but seriously... guts oozing out isn't necessary.
3. To get a higher position in the pack, you just put what you want in the profile of your wolf, and an Admin or Mod. will let you know if the position you want is taken or not. If your claiming land as an Alpha, your post MUST be 300 words or over. (Or, at least 4-5 paragraphs.) That may seem like a lot, but its really not.
If you wish for one of your wolves to be the Alpha/Alphess of a pack that is already taken by the opposite (or perhaps even the same) gender, than you mus agree with that person that it's alright if your wolves are mates. You may even fight over positions.
4. Fighting over positions:
You must consult the person with the wolf who holds the position you want. If they don't want to fight, then don't make a big deal of it. Just choose another position. Or make a deal with that person. If their wolf dies then your wolf can take over. Things like that.
Over a mate:
Discuss with everyone included. You must discuss with the challenger, the claimer and the "prize". The "prize" must choose who he/she wants to win. After all, it's up to them for who they want to be their mate. (And don't put them on the spot. If they chose the other guy, don't go off on them or get depressed or whatever. Just find another mate.) And the "prize" does have a right to change their mind, once again, no complaining!
5. Please don't post a mating thread. They're really not that necessary. I mean, your female can't magically become pregnant, just post a little hint that they have mated and that she is pregnant is all we ask. (Like "They returned from the forest, tired and drowsy. They easily fell asleep" or whatever. And for pregnancy, just signal that her belly is getting bigger over the days.)
6. If the owner of a Leader of a pack isn't on to post in a thread (within the original time given, they will lose their position of power. The only exception is that they had told us that they were going to be gone.
7. Swearing is allowed, but please, keep it to a minimum. Like when they're pissed off or something.
8. Every post must be about 200 words or more. (2-3 paragraphs of 6 complete sentences).
9. "How many threads can a character be in?"
Each of your characters can be in up to 4 threads each, maximum. If one of your characters is an Alpha, they can be in up to 6. But that would be ridiculous to have an Alpha to be in six threads, so go easy on them, okay?
10. Birthing time! When a female is ready to give birth, you won't post a thread. You'll post a "the moment after" thread. However, the outcome of the pups won't be decided by you, it will be decided by Mythos and Talulah. You will post a thread in the "Pup Birth" section, and then one of them will reply, telling you the outcome of the pups.character rules
throw, your dollar bills, and leave your thrills all here with me.
1. No odd coloring. Your wolves fur may sometimes have the appearance of having different colored fur in certain light (like black fur can sometimes look blue, and yellow fur can sometimes look gold, etc.)
2. Elemental/special wolves are limited and you must audition to get one! Auditions for special wolves will be announce before they happen, and will mainly be held on certain.
3. NO perfect characters. I mentioned this before, but I cannot stress it enough. Your wolf must have some kind of defauly, physical; visible creepy haunting scars on their face, mangled limbs; personality; mentally disabled, or insane, socially awkward to an almost extreme degree, etc.
4. We allow, wolves here only for now. You may have a wolf-dog mix, we understand that those can happen, somehow, but we don't want any regular plain dogs running around here. I, personally, don't think most dogs could handle a wolf's lifestyle. If you want to play a dog that is living in a pack with other dogs, and hunting in packs, like wolves, then find a different site for that. I'm sorry if i sound harsh, but there are plenty of sites that will welcome you with open arms if you want to have a dog like that. Once again: dog-wolf mixes, pure wolves, but not dogs. Period.
5. NO over-aggressive characters, or rapists. I don't mind wolves that are something like Necrophiliacs, if you can role play one, awesome, but no characters that are purely murderous. Please make something likable about them. I may let one or two slide, if you stay very, very, ridiculously active with the wolf, but if you don't you will lose your privilege of having them. And i know they are like your babies, your characters, but if they are not, at least, your most active wolf, then you will have to change their personality a little. And no rapes of other characters are allowed, even if they okay it. We don't want mating threads, and that counts as one. Not even if you ask nicely. And if you bug any of the admins about it, you'll have a temporary ban. Continue, and you will be permanently banned. It's annoying to be constantly bothered about it, and we don't like it.
6. PLEASE don't make all your wolves loners. It's not fun to have a million loners wandering around, and only one or two dogs in each pack. The packs are more important. I understand if your wolf is a loner for only temporarily, because it's sometimes hard to choose a pack, but pack members are needed more than loners. And if too many loners are being made, there will be a temporary ban on them. Sorry, those are the rules.
7. Unlike the real world, where family members can mate family members, that is not allowed here. At all. I think it's kind of a gross idea, even if they are wolves, but i just don't like the idea, and i don't want to see it. If i do, whoever is participating in the mating will be warned, temporarily banned if they do it again, and then banned permanently if it happens again. But i don't even want to see it once, so don't let it get to that level. And don't think i won't catch you, i check up on threads actively for that kind of activity. [Even if the two do not know they're related. Even if they are adopted into a family, are half related, or are "married" into the family. It is not allowed.]graphics
allow me to introduce myself. i am the one who pulls on the strings, son. you're lucky i don't kill you where you stand.
Basically, your signature cannot exceed the width of 500 pixels, and do NOT make them too long, so that it takes someone an hour to scroll down the screen to be able to reply to a post. It's annoying, and it makes the site look terrible. If you have a signature that stretches the screen, we will ask you to fix it. If the task is not completed within three days, a staff member will fix it for you, if not sooner. Your code is lilacs. And please, center your signatures. It's a pet peeve of mine really. If it's not centered, or you don't know how to center it, i will gladly center it for you. It's really for my ADD. It's insanely distracting for me to see that. Avatars, also, should not stretch the page, and, another pet peeve, should not be pixelated, blurry, or squished looking. If you need someone to re size it for you, ask. We don't bite, and would be more than happy to.
If I missed a rule, please post a Question in the general board, under the "Q&A" subboard, and it will be added. Thank you!
