Ohan
Large black paws padded softly on the dark, dusty ground. Chocolate orbs scanned the surroundings as the large black wolf moved forward in a stalking position. His head lined with his shoulders, and his ears set forward, moving only to catch unfamiliar, threatening sounds. The cracking of a twig, the scattering of leaves. Even a rock tumbling across the ground. The silence he was in, however, was not an eerie one. Not eerie at all. It was soothing in a way. Even with an owl hooting somewhere in the distance. This male was not phased however. He kept moving forward, until finally, he reached it. The border of the ever-so-famous Axiom pack. The scent marks were old and faded on the tree nearest to him. Barely even present in the many years it had been neglected.
The large male grinned. He pushed himself to his hind legs, setting his large front paws on the tree, and scratched down the bark several times with his black, sharpened claws, releasing his scent mark into the tree. His grin settled into a cunning smile. These were the lands of his ancestors, and he intended to keep them to himself. So, slowly, he walked down the line, until he was about twenty feet away from his last scent mark, before he tore into another tree, and left it there. He continued this for a while, before he had wandered all the way back to his starting point.
It had taken him hours to complete, but it was done. He now had his own lands. Once ruled by the great and powerful Devonte, whom he did not have much respect for, no. But these still were once his lands. But not anymore. They were Ohan's now. Oh yes, his lands to control and make laws for. His lands to have a pack, possibly an alphess to sit by his side, and maybe, eventually pups. But for now, he would rest, until morning. He would sleep until the pink and yellow sky blended with the black sky that sat over his head now. So he walked to a clearing, and looked around for a moment. Then he saw it. He trotted over proudly, to a den. He would not have to sleep outside in the crisp spring air tonight. He would still be alone, unfortunately, but, now he had a den. And soon, hopefully, a pack. With these thoughts, he entered the den, lay down, curled up, and fell asleep. What would morning bring?
